Bridget (or Brig) is a unicorn. No, not the mythical creature but a bisexual woman who only dates couples. She loves threesomes, and meeting a couple in a committed relationship lets her indulge in her desires without all the complications. Her life changes when she’s sent to New Orleans to investigate a story about Mama Lou, an old Bayou woman that had been running the last authentic voodoo shop in the city. But she’s old and dying, and her granddaughters want to open a modern shop.

Bridget is thrown into a new a world when she stops a thief from robbing Mama Lou. In thanks, Mama Lou gives her a talesman that may contain a severed finger of a devilish imp cut off by Andrew Jackson in 1812. As Bridget begins to explore the powers the amulet gives her (and helps others find love), she begins to learn the origins of her amulet.

Bridget and the Voodoo Queen is almost two stories. The first half, set in New Orleans, is a great read, delving into the history of the War of 1812 and how it affected the almost mystical New Orleans of his story. The second half becomes a SciFi book as Bridget, through her friend Lydia, uncoves the secrets of the Amulet. I didn’t like the second half as much as the first. There is still hot, kinky sex, but it lost some of the allure of the first half.

Now for the sex. It’s hot and varied. Passionate FF, kinky threesomes, and even a few naughty stories that uses Bridget’s imagination. The amulet adds a new dimension to the sex scenes.

I give it 4 out of 5 voodoo amulets.

Megara savors the encounter, believing she will never see Hercules again. But when Hercules returns to take her on his next labor, she can’t help going with the hunky warrior.

Ravished by Hercules is the first in a promised series of erotica retelling of Hercules Labors. Jessica writes a steamy tale, mixing the action of fighting monsters with the steamy sex that follows. There’s plenty of passion dripping in these pages. You will not be disappointed if you pick up this book!

And she finds that safety with Mindy the waitress and her boyfriend Jeb’s house in the mountain community of Evergreen Heights. As she begins to settle in and reflect on the events that sent her fleeing, she meets “the Brothers”. Now Hank and Woody are not actual brothers, but the hunky men that run the town. Angie finds herself attracted to both men, and they can’t keep their hands off of her.

Angie Wilde is about to learn the truth at who she is and where she belongs as passion burns between her and the two men. Desirae Grove rights an interesting narrative. Angie’s past is revealed in an almost disjointed fashion as she struggles to understand the upheaval that has befallen her as she slowly relaxes in her refuge. The story builds both the passion and the eroticism, teasing about Hank and Woody before their unveiled and Angie finds herself swept up in shifter passion.

Soon she’s swept off her feet by the irresistible man. Love blooms, but when Jamie has to leave for a business meeting and might not return before her vacation’s over, Emma wonders if she’ll ever see him again.

Depressed, Emma meets a pair of saucy nurses who take her out clubbing. Thrilled by Angie and Zoe’s sexual exploits, Emma finds herself having a good time when she meets Donnie. Should she enjoy herself for the rest of her vacation or should she hope that her Highlander meant his professions of love and returns?

My Highlander Chieftain is full of sex. If you like steamy passion, then you’ll love what Bobbie Roy provides. Jamie and Emma’s chemistry explodes on the sheets. It’s sexy and hot, and only gets hotter when Angie and Zoe arrive on the scene. The pair are sexually adventurous and aren’t shy telling Emma all the details of their fun.

The story itself was a little slow for me. It’s very well written. Bobby Roy has a great style. If you’re a fan of steamy romances, this is the story for you, but I prefer a bit more action in my longer stories (and not the action between the sheets).
