Maggie McCullough is the newest reporter at The Daily Mirror, in the village of Fablecastle. She’s digging into the true versions of the “fairy tales” we’re all familiar with to find out the naughty truth. From investigating just what was Little Red Riding Hood doing in the woods and why the Big Bad Wolf was “eating” her grandmother, to just how did Cinderella actually land her prince.
Maggie McCullough is off to find the truth.
Setting the Record Straight is a series of conversations of Maggie interviewing fairy tale characters and learning the salacious gossip about what really happened. It’s a fun read, the conversations between Maggie and her subjects are entertaining, each with their own sparkling personality. There’s a great bit of fun to the stories.
They do get a little naughty. There’s a nice bit of erotic delight to titillate before she’s off on her next gossiping tale. It’s an interesting take on the story, reminiscent of Once Upon A Time. So far, there’s no overarching story, but there is a hook at the end promising something more.
If you want to have a quick, fun read with some naughty, delicious fun in it, you need to check out Setting the Record Straight.
