Young sexy woman in vintage lingerie over Christmas backgroundRuby is a witch. When she gets excited, such as in the throes of passion, she loses control of her magic. Withdrawing from others, she lives a quite life with her cat flip working at a book store. When her sort of friend Michelle, a sexually-adventuresome vixen, invites Ruby out to meet her latest fling.

Ruby is surprised, but Michelle is both eager to see Jess again and fearful of being with him. When Ruby arrives at the Witch’s Den, she learns why. The Witch’s Den isn’t a mundane bar. It is haunted by Vampire, Werewolves, and Witches. It is quite clear Jess has cast a spell on Michelle. When Ruby confronts Jess, he attacks her.

Ruby is rescued by Kieran, the bar’s owner. But when Ruby defies Kieran, she steps into a whole new world. Kieran is a werewolf, the alpha of his pack, and he can’t let her defiance go without response. Since she’s a woman, if she was his mate, her challenge could pass unnoticed.

Ruby has to decide to surrender herself to the handsome, powerful werewolf while dealing with a vengeful Witch. Her life got a whole lot more complicated!

D.L. Baker does a wonderful job introducing the world. Ruby is fun and cute, but she has spunk when things get difficult.  Kieran is powerful and loyal. The chemistry between them is great, and things get quite steamy. If your a fan of alpha male werewolves, you’ll love the direction D.L Baker takes her story.

The mix of romance and the supernatural plot drive the story, keeping you eager to read what happens next. If you love your romances to have danger and excitement , then you’ll find The Witch’s Den to be a satisfying read.

I give it 5 out of 5 penguins. For $0.99, The Witch’s Den is an exciting supernatural romance that will keep your eReader warm!
