Wet Daddy

Hot on the heels of the Hybrid’s last case in Devil’s Dyke, another gruesome crime scene has been discovered. Ali and her husband Harvey lead a team of half-vampire police officers that investigate the worse crimes imaginable, but even they are horrified by this new case. In an abandon warehouse, women have been wrapped up in thick barbwire and hung from the rafters.
With the hybrids psychic powers, they began to investigate this crime. And who crosses there path again, but Mr. Wicks. Once again, one of Mr. Wicks’s properties have been used by a killer and the hybrids don’t believe in coincidence as they investigate this weaselly man’s past. The case has a few twist and turns.
A lot of the book is devoted to the hybrid’s home life. The BDSM sex is a kinky as ever. The hybrids have limits far beyond a human and they use their superhuman abilities to have superhuman sex. Another pair of hybrids were introduced and its starting to get a bit much. Andrew tries to give them all something to do, but it seems to dilute all their contributions a bit.
There are number of subplots that are simmering in the background, including the mystery of the dead infants they discovered in an abandon psychiatric hospital. I’m curious to read where that storyline goes with the developments in this book. And as always, the Home Office lurks in the background. They already have done some shady things with Hybrids and I’m wondering what they have up their sleeves.
The crimes in the Hybrid Series continue to be gruesome and original and Ali and Harvey remain the heart of the books. I give ‘Wet Daddy’ 4 of 5 stars! At $3.99 you are in for a great murder mystery and some very kinky BDSM sex!
