reviewed by Reed James
When three young man are warned about the dread succubus Butterface, a demon that preys on virgin men. She is gorgeous, sexy, and irresitable, but you never can see her face until it’s too late. Once she does, she ruins you. At best, she leaves the young men as an idiot, at worse she kills you.
Tommy Joe is eighteen and eager to lose his virginity with his religious girlfriend Janie. His need to get laid only increases when his friend Jimmy Bob becomes a victim of Butterface. But Janie wants to wait for marriage, fearing going to Hell.
It’s a race against time for Tommy Joe to his virginity as Butterface stalks him and his friend JimBob. There is only one person that can control the succubus, Old Pap, and Janie will have to make hard choices to save the guy she loves.
Butterface is an erotic horror that blends sensuality and tension. She keeps you turning the pages to find out what will happen. The country setting adds quite the colorful speech to the characters and there’s a touch of Lovecraft near the end. I had trouble putting the book down and read the bulk of it (chapter 2 on) in one sitting. While not a long read, it will keep you hooked for an hour or so.
Callie promises a sequel next Halloween, and I would love to read it!
I give it 4.5 out of 5 demonic succubi. Butterface will fuck your eReader to death!
I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
