Review of ‘The Disturbia Ritual’
by Lilith K. Duat and Maria DeLynn
reviewed by Reed James
Corvus is a broken, grieving man. His wife has died in a tragic car accident and he can’t move past her. Night after night, he contemplates jumping to his death to see Ava again.
But he knows that Hell awaits him.
One night, a strange woman appears, a porcelain ballerina with the head of a candy calavera (Mexican skull candy). Midnight is beautiful, enchanting, and ushers in an erotic night. At the end, she promises to reunite him with his wife if he does four tasks for her.
Corvus agrees and Midnight pricks him with a poisoned needle and he falls into the strange afterlife of Disturbia. There, he must service four women to win Midnight the four keys she needs.
The Disturbia Ritual is a darkly erotic and macabre tell of love and hope. Lilith and Maria make the disturbed sexy, feeling every page with passion and loss. Each character is broken in their own ways and looking to feel once again.
Lilith and Maria have penned another great story. They make you feel for their characters and keep you reading. What will happen when Corvus finishes his task. Will he be reunited with his wife?
