I wasn’t sure what to expect with Blaque’s final installment of her Even in Death series. Like Calico, we the readers were heading into new territory. But never fear for fans of Blaque’s hot BDSM writing. While Calico waking world is set in the plain, boring vanilla, her dreams are a lot more naughty as she struggles to work through her decisions and understand just what she wants.

Blaque has created something special with the Even in Death series, and the final installment does not disappoint. I was particularity moved by Marcus’s last letter to Calico, his final goodbye to his wife and slave before she makes her choice on how to live her life without him.

The BDSM is realistic and hot. Blaque knows her stuff, and she delivers in between the scenes of heartbreak and joy that pepper her novel. If you want a romance with meat, then you need to read this book.

The only problem—Nicolas has his own plans and Delilah finds herself embroiled in the ancient plan of Mesoamerican gods. Can she trust Nicolas to keep his word or does he have nefarious plans for our succubus gunslinger?

Melos is back in her Weird West erotica series and is firing with all cylinders. The mythology builds while the various supernatural powers plot and contend with each other, using humans like Delilah as their pawns. The sex is hot as always, but interspersed with a very interesting story. The characters continue to be fascinating as Delilah struggles to understand and control her succubus-like powers Azrael gifted (or cursed) her with. As always, Melos’s research into mythology and how she weaves it into her story is masterful.

This series keeps getting better and better, and I can’t wait for Book 4!

And she thinks she has in the form of David, a hunky Marine biologist. To find out if he is her soul mate, she is given three gems by Calypso. Each represents three tests that she and her lover will have to pass. If they do, then she can become a nymph again and dance and sing and love her sexy man. But if he isn’t, the consequences will be dire for both. Tessa will have to put her faith that David is her soul mate or forever be cursed to be a mermaid.

Tessa’s Curse is a short, hot erotica, full of naughty sex between David and Tessa at various times of them being both fully human and fully merpeople. Rose captures the emotions and eroticism of the couple against the backdrop of the politics of Oceania, based on Greek Mythology. There are lots of great nuggets of mythology scattered through the short story.

While the plot is a little rush, the story still delivers and is quite sweet at times and other quite hot. If you’re looking for a kinky romance with a different twist, then Tessa’s Curse is just the quick, hot read you are looking for. And this is just the beginning of the world of Oceania. Rose has more to share.
