Issei is now living with not only the cute Asia but the leader of his group of demons, the busty Rias. Both girls are eager to spend time with him and jealousy is flaring around him. He aches to go farther with them even as they both are eager to have nude encounters.

Things get shaken up, however, when Issei’s mom busts out the children photos and all his friends, and the girls in his growing harem, get to see all the embarrassing pics. When Kiba notices something in the background of one of the pics, his past rears its head.

Issei, with a childhood friend, is standing before a sacred sword. A holy weapon that Kiba has vowed to destroy. Issei and Kiba’s pasts collide as a pair of Catholic exorcists arrive in Japan on a mission that will threaten Issei and his fellow devils!

Another fun volume of High School DxD as we get into Kiba’s background and introduce another pervert after Issei’s heart. There’s plenty of fan service and some naughty “pseudo” BJ fun from Akeno. Issei’s delights are growing, but will he ever go all the way with one of the girls?

The exorcists are cute in their own way, but will they bring more fun for Issei, or will they be his undoing?

He’s about to experience his ultimate fantasy. His teacher, Yuzuki, isn’t the only girl interested in mating with him. All his classmates are here for that one delight. Unaware of the truth, Doi feels his confidence bloom.

Will this plan work?

Meanwhile, Reito, patient two, is feeling the impact of his decision not to breed but to find a cure for the MK Virus. In love with his childhood friend, and holding out hope she’s still alive, he wants to find her then spread his seed. How long will the women of the world tolerate his decision?

How long can he hold out?

This continues to be one naughty series with the nerdy Doi getting plenty of fun while Reito faces new temptation. The main story doesn’t advance much in this volume, but the story ends on some nice momentum. I’m curious where this story will go and what will happen if Reito learns the truth about the virus.

Issei and the other devil servants of Rias are ready for battle. They are fighting to keep Rias from having to marry Riser, an egotistical devil possessing Issei’s dream: a harem of hot demon girls. Issei has been training for this. He’s going to fight to protect Rias.

And claim her virginity for himself.

The action kicks off, with plenty of naughty fan service as Issei uses the one spell he’s invented. It’s an effective spell that neutralizes the girls of Riser’s harem. But will it be enough for Rias and her followers to prevail? Can Issei win the day?

This is a great volume. Action, passion, and great lines. Issei’s growing his power and stepping up. He’s a perverted male lead, a nice change of pace from a lot of harem manga. The art’s great, the action’s easy to follow. The story kicks into high care.

Volume three opens up with Issei being led to the alter by the busty demon-girl Rias. He’s excited and eager for the wedding night with his hot bride only for a dragon to interrupt his dreams, roaring at him, a glimpse at the true source of the power.

Marriage is a premonition for this volume. From Asia moving in to Issei’s house under the guise of training to be his bride (something Issei’s parents wholly believe), to the machinations that exist in the devil world between the great houses.

When Rias demands that Issei take her virginity, he thinks he’s one the lotto. But why is Rias so eager to go all the way? What is truly going on? A new opponent is about to arrive that will throw Rias and her followers into a new conflict.

One where the stakes have never been higher.

Volume 3, while not with the action of the last one, is still a fun read. Plenty of naughty fan service. Asia continues to be so cute. Her totally accepting training as Issei’s bride and embracing Japanese culture is great. The new opponent is fun, and I have to like his style (particularly that final little bit of the manga). I hope she shows you that dere someday.

All in all, High School DxD continues to be fun read. If you’re a fan of shonen manga with some hot fan service and a good story, then check this series out!

Issei, a high school boy, thinks his first date with the hot Yuuma is ending with a hot kiss in a dark park. He’s eager for it. Instead, black wings sprout from her back as she apologizes before ramming as spear into his chest. As his life spills from him, he wishes to die in the arms of a beautiful babe.

He wakes up the next day in bed very much alive, confused. Weirder, no one seems to remember Yuuma at his school. Not sure what is going on, he continues about his day. Once again, at night, he’s accosted by a man who sprouts black wings and a spear. Stabbed again, he can’t believe he’s about to die. Until Rias, one of the hottest girls at his school, appears and defends him.

Once again, he wakes up in bed. Only this time, he’s naked and hugged tight by the equally nude Rias.

Issei is plunged into a world of angels and demons. No longer human, he’s going to have to learn the rules in order to survive.

High School DxD is a fun manga. It’s got some sexy bits, some great heart, humor, interesting characters, and balls-crazy action. When things kick off in this series, it goes for broke. It’s an interesting story, with characters in conflict with each other. The art’s great.
